Lisa grew up with a love of the performing arts including singing and dancing at a young age.  Whilst not an avenue actively pursued, Lisa discovered bellydance classes held by Pamela 'Vashti' Vickers at The Lights Andover in 2006.  After a few tentative steps she was hooked.  Lisa also found another teacher, the acclaimed Sara Shrapnell and would travel to Basingstoke to attend her classes before moving to North Devon in September 2007.  Having no classes in the vicinity Lisa helped to set up a peer group of women with a love for ATS.  Initially meeting at someones house, they soon outgrew the barn and had to hire a hall for their meetings.

Lisa has  since gone on to form Usha Oseye with her cousin, Kirsty, with great success and have both recently been granted Sister Studio Status.

Whilst not immediately drawn to tribal style, after taking workshops with Sharon Kihara and Rachel Brice she discovered the world that is American Tribal Style FatChanceBellydance Format.

Lisa has attended workshops instructed by Sarah Jeffries-Emerys, former Director of Tribe of Kismet and Deana Lawman, Director and founder of Tribal Unity.  She also attended workshops with Donna Gardner and Lezley Hogg of Pedralta and also the beautiful Jesse and Philippa of Moirai Tribal Bellydance.  She has also attended a Tribal:Pura instructed by Carolena Nericcio and Megha Gavin.

Lisa was thrilled to be able to complete the General Skills course run by Carolena Nericcio and Megha Gavin (of Devyani Dance Co) in October 2008.

Since being completing the General Skills intensive, Lisa was thrilled to be invited to Finland to complete her Teacher Training in August 2009 with Carolena and be awarded her Certificate.

Lisa is proud to be a member of the FatChance family and honoured to represent Carolena and FatChanceBellyDance here in the UK and spread the joy that is American Tribal Style to many others, whilst supporting her fellow Sister Studios.
