Kirsty started belly dancing with Kim Danby of Arabesque Dance in 2005.  She fell in love with belly dancing and quickly progressed to other classes taught by the director of Arabesque Dance, Yvonne McGheehan.  These classes included Tribal Style Belly Dance of which, she soon became a convert.

After attending workshops at Raqs Britannia with Sharon Kihara and Rachel Brice, Kirsty was drawn towards American Tribal Style Bellydance in the FatChanceBellyDance Format and started studying ATS and taking workshops with Sarah and Deana of Tribe of Kismet, Donna Gardner of Pedralta and Jesse and Philippa of Moirai.  In October 2008, Kirsty received her General Skills Certificate from Carolena Nericcio (Director of FatChanceBellyDance) and Megha Gavin (of Devyani Dance Co) and also attended Tribal:Pura, where she took part in her first public performance as part of an ATS troupe.

In 2009 Kirsty travelled to Finland to take part in the FCBD Teacher Training program, where she received her Teacher Training Certificate from Carolena. She was thrilled to then receive Sister Studio Status from Carolena alongside Lisa, as Usha Oseye and is very proud to be a fully Certified teacher and representative of FatChanceBellyDance in the UK.

Kirsty continues to teach and perform ATS throughout the UK and hope to start regular classes soon. Her aim for the future is to bring ATS to as many people as possible and share her love for the dance
